The Family Thrift: Blood is Thicker than a Bargain
Hello! Glad you found us and are taking the time to read this little introduction.
I am pleased to begin a new blogging adventure with the shop as the main focus. I will try to post often, highlight certain parts of the shop or items, and share with you knowledge of all things thrift.
I am hoping to give you a little glimpse into the thrift shop world we have had the privilege to be a part of for a few years now. But first, a little history
Entwined Treasures officially opened in 2012, but we have been collectors our whole lives. Flea markets, auctions, "picking"... we have done it all! Nothing is more fun that hunting down old items and checking their value, be in 50 cents or $500. Many things we have collected may not be worth much, but they have a story and a past. The store came out of a need to clean out the basement of the house. We planned to share our "junk" with the public, use the space mostly to eBay from, and maybe take in a few consignments here or there. We never imagined that a little over two years later, we would have over 200 consigners and a basement STILL full of junk! :)
We love what this shop has become in our small little town. It isn't just a store, it is a gathering place for friends, family, and strangers to come, have coffee, and share a story or two. It is family owned and operated and has odd hours, because, well, we have day jobs! The stuff in here changes almost daily, and we never know what will come in next, maybe an old iron sink, or an old school desk.
So please, browse the site, read a bit, and share in our crazy adventures in thrift, we are glad you are here!
Welcome to the "family"!
